We opted to stay a bit closer to home yesterday and check out Walnut Grove Plantation in Roebuck, SC that was built in 1765. The house was built on land that was given to Charles Moore from King George III in 1763. The plantation was once 3,000 acres, having that much land is just mind boggling.
It was really neat to walk inside the house and see how they once lived.
The rooms were quite large for the time period not to mention that ten children grew up in the house.
We really enjoyed ourselves, it is always interesting to take a step back in time and get a glimpse of what life was like.

I enjoyed your photos. Especially at Walnut Grove. Folks take pictures in the blacksmith shop all the time but I seldom see any. Thanks for posting them.
