It was such a beautiful day today that we decided to get some sandwiches and head out to the park for a picnic.
Since the park was right next to our zoo we decided to go see the animals.
It was the first time for us to see the new giraffes (they arrived last year) and the new baby orangutan.
I have to say it was fun; we have gone to the zoo since the boys were old enough to enjoy the animals.
They still love to go and ask to visit other zoos when we are out of town.
We have a family pass which allows us to go to our zoo and enjoy other zoos in the country for free or at a discount.
What a great way to spend the day.
