New Soaps...
I have had a bit of time to tinker about and make some soaps.
Above is my lemon batch and it smells wonderful, just like a freshly squeezed lemon.
The batch above is made with mango butter, shea butter, cocoa butter and a pinch of silk.
I have to say the little sliver I used bubbled quite nicely.
Needless to say that I am happy with how it turned out.
This sort of rough looking gem is lilac and linen.
It smells just like spring with the lilacs in bloom.
There is a tiny story behind this one and how it almost did not make it.
When is there not when I soap?
I heated the oils back up to melt them down just a bit.
Waited about 5 minutes and then started to add the lye water.
All was going along smoothly until I added the fragrance oil.
floral fragrance oil + semi warm oils = fast acting soap
Yup, I had soap on a stick so to say and had to act fast.
It is not the nicest looking bar but the fragrance more than makes up for that little feature.
This weekend... I think it is time for a batch made with Blue Sugar type fragrance oil.

Hi Sandy, how are you doing? You need to tell me how you make your soap. I hope it does not cost a lot to make those soaps, I also like soaps :)
thanks for your help
take- care
Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Things are going well, thanks.
I use some yummy ingredients such as Mango, Shea, Cocoa Butter, Palm Oil, Soybean Oil, Palm Kernel, Coconut Oil, Caster Oil and Sodium Hydroxide. All in measured proportions to be used with the soap recipes that I have created. :)
My soaps will be around $4.50 when I start to sell them shortly.
Thanks for asking!
Hope you are well.
